Wireless Has Lost Speed

Brief synopsis... we had three "brief" power outages where the power flickered off and on at my house the other day. My computer is hooked up to a surge protector, but since then the wireless internet is running at a ridiculously slow speed. I have a wireless linksys network card in my desktop.

I reset the modem and linksys router, but to no avail. I contacted comcast and they said speeds were what they should be.

Any thoughts?

Try hooking up your computer directly to your modem for a few minutes and see if the speeds change.

Is the modem and router connected to a surge protector as well? If not one of them could have been damaged by the power surge.

I fixed it eventually just by resetting everything and trying 100 million different things. Unfortunately, I can't pinpoint the issue but it is working fine now.
