wireless b and g compatability

Okay all, a while ago I posted about setting up a wireless lan between my friend and me. Question is: if I get a wireless b and g compatible router, will I have problems with compatability between computers using a b card and comps using a g card? Thanks.

I also notice that alot of these wireless routers have 4 lan ports why is this? Also, in the system requirements it says that I need high speed internet but I do not plan on having an internet uplink to the router, just lan, do I need this? Thanks.

You will be fine with both b and g.

as long as the router is compatable, you will be fine. As far as the 4 port thing. If you have a couple of computers near the router, it would be much faster connection to hook straight in. Also, you can limit administration of router to physical connection which will help with security.

That's cool but it might get a little complicated as I have already established a wired lan in my house, can I set up another one or delete the old one?
