Question Wireless adapter question?

I have this motherboard: Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TFORCE 550 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 550 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
and was wondering if I was able to install this onto it.

Newegg.com - LINKSYS WMP54G IEEE 802.11b/g, PCI 2.2 and 2.3 32bit PCI2.2 Wireless-G Adapter up to 54Mbps Data Rates WEP, WPA, CCX 2.0 - Retail

The thing is, I don't have the IEEE pluged into the motherboard because there is no socket for it, but I have PCI slots so whats the deal?

Default Re: Wireless adapter question?

You can use that wireless card with that motherboard yes!

as for the IEEE, well that stands for The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. They are the ones who have set the standards for the various types of wireless networks.

Hope that clears things up a little..
