wired or wireless network ?

I need to link 3 desktops to cable broadband and i am wondering which is best? using a wired network or a wireless one. Please help as i am a total newbie to all this networking stuff! thanks.

If you have thick walls or a long distance between your wireless router/modem then I would recommend wired because the signal gets weak and looses connection.

But making a wired network can be fiddly when trying to keep all the cabls tidy.

Wired network is faster than wireless. I only recommend wireless if you are using notebooks.

Well, you can have a combination of both, just get a wireless router with LAN ports. You can choose to use the wireless function when you want to.

Wired connection are better for gaming or intensive bandwidth applications, because wireless connection are unreliable at time but are convenient because of the roaming and no wiring required. Notebook are better with wireless connection, desktop since it doesn't move much, just wired it.
