Can I get rid of my norton anti virus and fire wall when I download the service pack? Is the A.V. and firewall that come with it as good as norton? I am really sick of paying the $30.00 subscription every year for norton. Any feedback would be appreciated.

No, and no...First off...no a/v comes with SP2 and the firewall that comes with it, I wouldn't trust a brick wall with it much less my computer.

The firewall that comes with it ONLY protects from inbound treats, not outbound. You still need a software firewall other than SP2. For further info, read here: A False Sense of Security Now, they didn't review the FREE a/v's but the idea is valid. Liz

And you still need a software firewall as well as the router..we have both and still got hit in spite of the router. Liz
