Windows ME and Non Working Wireless Adapter?

I have a Dell 1450 wireless usb adaptor and tried to install it on my HP Pavilion N5310. After reading the instructions that came with the adaptor, it says it is designed for XP and 2000. Is there any way I can use it with my ME operating system? It recognizes the adaptor but it won't find the drivers on my CD installation disk.

Probably not, windows me was recalled and therefore not many drivers were released, but you should look for a windows 98 driver because that would be compatible...

After looking at it’s your computers specs (the series was 700 to 900MHz with around 256 MB ram) I believe that you should look into the windows XP operating system just don't get service pack 2, it will slow it down immensely. service pack 2 will slow anything below 1 gig.
