win2k sever's file sever

I am just wondering if win2k server's file sever option in 'configure youre sever' from start menu option allows us to host ftp sever

It's very confusing to me. I believe all linux distros comes with ftp sever built in

not sure about the file server option. However, if you want to host a ftp server, you can use IIS. You can access it by running the mmc with the IIS snapin.

You may have to add IIS and/or the FTP service through
Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components option.

Thanks for the info. BTW Is third party ftp like guild ans ws ftp boog or the IIS one?
