okay, well, i have a wireless b network connecting my windows 98 comp and windows xp laptop . . . but i just got a ps2 with networking capabilities and i have a few games that i wanna play online . . .

will this setup work ? :

cable modem ------> http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-180-002&depa=0 ethernet hub -------------->

i) one cable to the ps2
ii) one cable to the wireless router ------------------->

a) one cable to the win 98 comp (its right next to it)
b) wireless signal to the laptop


will that work?

Does the wireless gateway/router have more than 1 port? Maybe 4 ports? If so, you won't even need the hub...

The hub is in the incorrect physical location anyway.

Cable Modem -----> Wireless Router

a) 1 cable from the wireless router to the PS2
b) 1 cable from the wireless router to the 98 comp

And then other devices can either be wired or wireless (like the laptop) off of the router.

Another thing.....
For hosting games and whatnot off of the PS2, place the PS2's IP address in the DMZ on your gateway/router's configuration page.
