Will a broadband connection that requires user login work using a router?

I just talked to one of the ISPs and they said they dont mind if I use a router to share the connection! I dont know about the other ISPs...is there a way they can know that I am using one? (the sub IPs or something?)
They said they dont allow more than 1 log in at the same time (just like dialup) but in the case of a router, it wont be like someone is logged in twice right? Its would be like only 1 person is logged...

How NAT works

This is where NAT (RFC 1631) comes to the rescue. Network Address Translation allows a single device, such as a router, to act as an agent between the Internet (or "public network") and a local (or "private") network. This means that only a single, unique IP address is required to represent an entire group of computers.
