With the recent news that cable may never reach my house (even though its only 1100 feet away), I am beginning to look at satellite services. I noticed this service called WildBlue is expected to launch in 2005, which, from what I hear, will be far superior to say Direcway, which is only 512K down, 50K up, and is capped at 130MB worth of downloads per day. Wildblue uses an entirely different satellite technology than DirecWay and will also be cheaper, offering 1500/256 access and 99% reliability during rain, unlike DirecWay which you can kiss goodbye if its raining. I hope this service lives up to its hype, because if its legit, I will be the first one to get it. What are your opinions?

P.S. Here is the site with more info: http://www.wildblue.com/press/2004/010504.asp
