Whats wrong with my inet?

i have cable (10 mbps) but all my downloads max out at 300 kbps what would be causing this?

If you aren't using a download accelerator, your download speed will be limited to the sites maximum speed, no matter how fast you can go. However, it's unlikely this is whats causing the prob. Try with something like DAP anyway, see if it makes any difference.

Traffic is only going to go as fast as the slowest portion in the whole link..... Say you are getting a file from a friend through FTP, and you have 100 Gigabit speed internet, if your friend has 56k modem, your going to be downloading at the same rate as the 56k modem. 300k for a download isn't too bad...
