Hello.

when browsing the internet over the last 24 hrs we have been having some problems at my house.

When ever someone is browsing a website the website might all of a sudden be down but only at our house.

For example about 30 mins ago i was browsing the green button forum and it went down but on other peoples computers that I have been talking to on MSN it seems to be working but on any of the 5 comps on my network the website doesnt work.

this has happend to other websites aswell.

I have reset the modem and router.

What could be causing this?

Sounds like a possible DNS problem. You could try this command in DOS:

ipconfig /flushdns

If that doesn't work, type "ipconfig /all" in DOS and post the readout that it gives you on here. You could try pointing your PC to a different DNS server as well, but let's not get too hasty. Try my first suggestion and we can go from there. Someone else might have a better suggestion in the mean time.

here is a post with out my ip addy lol of the read out i got with ipconfig /all

Try using one of these DNS servers:

199.166.24.253 (PS0.NS1.VRX.NET) - Toronto, ON, Canada
199.166.27.253 (PS0.NS3.VRX.NET) - Richmond Hill, ON, Canada
199.166.28.10 (PS0.NS2.VRX.NET) - Apopka, Fl
199.166.29.3 (NL.PUBLIC.BASESERVERS.NET) - The Netherlands
199.166.31.3 (NS1.QUASAR.NET) - Orlando, FL, USA
195.117.6.25 (ZOLIBORZ.ELEKTRON.PL) - Poland
38.113.2.100 (NS1.JERKY.NET) - Boston, MA, USA
213.196.2.97 (PAN.BIJT.NET) - The Netherlands

If this doesn't work, then the problem definately isn't DNS; but this should work.

Router will be better. so you dont have to set in to so many computers in your network. just once and done
