WAN Mask is 255.255.255.255?

hi, need to know why i have a wan subnet mask of 255.255.255.255? this is used for broadcast right? im confused... :(
 
In your case it just means that you've been assigned a single IP address that isn't involved in a range of addresses on the same network.

How did you ascertain that he wants to use it? Looks like from his post that he has no choice and is simply asking about it. Dial up often delivers these addresses. They have for years.
 
My bet, i didn't read the whole thing carefully. But dont most of the computer set a class C as the defult ip address. I guessing that he is working in IPv4.

Yea, like I just said above, Dialup users often get and have been getting these masks for quite some time (even before broadband). :) So....yes, I'm referring to v4
