W2k sees XP - XP doesn't see W2K

I'm new to XP - did I hear groans

Just set up a network today using a "billion" router with one machine running W2k and the other Xp.

The W2k machine can see folders on the XP machine but the XP doesn't recognise the W2k machine at all.

I have made some files on the W2K "shareable" and am in administrator mode on both machines.

Any advice would be appriciated and I won't mind if you say, 1) click on start and then etc.

Just run the networking wizard on Xp .... Most of the times ..this should sort the problem out.

thanks, I ran it twice and all appears to go fine but it doesn't solve the problem.
