I was wandering how can i set up a vpn without having to dial anything. I dont have a phone line. Or is there a program to download that will simulate a private network?

Networking Hardware?

OS?

Connection Type?

I just have a static Ip set behind my router. Nothing really special. I dont have any other security other than what win 2000 offers with theyre software

he could have a static ip for the private network and the router could still be implementing NAT. In which case, you'll need to setup port forwarding.

VPN thorugh router?

I just talked to a tech and he said u could link 2 firewalls together and make a vpn that way but he wasnt sure if my router had that capability. Me and my friend have a Wireless B 2.4 Ghz 802.11b BEFW11S4 Linksys Broadband Router. If it is possible with this router it sure would help me alot, I don't have very much time to learn new software.
