Virtual Networking Nmap problem

OK the problem that im having is when I run a nmap scan on a target IP on my network it responds with the following error(s):

Invalid target host specification: -

All 1000 scanned ports on 10.0.2.101 are closed

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 Host up) scanned 6.00 Seconds

This is on a virtual network on VMWare player, All addapters of my Virtual machines are "Host-only" and Active directory and DNS setup with all static IPs assigned to other machines.

This problem is quite annoying and any help would be very helpful.
