I heard you can use a computer and use it as your own web server? I own a couple of domains and would like to use storage-intensive websites.

How exactly do I setup a webserver to be put online? Like I want my computer to be access via a domani (such as mywebsite.com). Can someone elaborately explain to me the process on how to do this?

Also, do I need to forward router ports for this one ?

Yes, you can use your home computer as a webserver. You have to install, and configure, Apache, IIS, or another webserver program. Then you have to portforward the configured webserver port on your router.
Since you probably have a dynamic IP you have to use no-ip, or something similar, to map your ip to a domain.
