USB Hub

I purchased a laptop and I already have a desktop and an external hard drive. I was wondering if getting a USB hub would let me access the external hard drive from both the laptop and the desktop.

Not at the same time. You would have to disconnect it from one computer, then connect it to the other.

The only other option, if these computers are on the same network, is file sharing. You can set the entire external drive letter to be shared with your other PC. That's about the best you could do without moving it, I believe.
