I got to experimenting with spoofing email using both php and a perl script that opens the sendmail app on newer *nix's. I noticed that looking at the header file of the message when sent to myself showed some random java server. Could anybody shed some light on whats happening at that stage?

Erm zero if that email addresses means something to any one you should remove it before it gets spiderd. I will edit it for you if you would like me to just report the thread and I will get to it.

I'm also interested in what being spiderd means... i've heard the term but until now have ignored it.

Being Spidered is just a term used for a search engine indexing yoru site. They use what is called Spiders to crawl your site and index it for search engine results.

Ah oh... you have me thinking now. How is the search engine able to index a site... i would assume some language like C or Perl or something... but how would the site be indexed?? What would some pseudo code look like in order for a search engine to do this?

Honestly i have no idea. I just know what the spiders do. How they do it i have no clue.
