Trying to use WAP instead of wireless card or USB.

Hey Gamer..... How is this issue going? I am sorry for being away for so long... Life has been hectic lately....

I stumbled across this when looking at another thread, and it has some value for this thread, if you are still trying to get the wireless going....

The AP would have to be set to REPEATOR mode...

Okay, going about this a completely different way...

How do I set up a wired router?

Because I orderd one off of eBay.

Well, it arrived. I tried just plugging one ethernet into the back of the computer and another into my laptop, but it wouldn't connect.

I think it could be because I was accidentally using one of my wireless routers and the phone jack was kind of hanging out of the wall...

I didn't bother trying again until I had the go ahead from one of you guys... >.>

Gamer, Start a new thread for the connection issue, since this one (was originally supposed) to focus on getting the wireless devices connecting to eachother....

Starting with a clean slate would be best bet IMO.
