Hi everyone...Im having trouble connecting vista client to my domain. I installed server 2008 and made it a domain controller with dns installed and created users and computers. I have a laptop with vista buisness that i want to connect to the domain.
The error I get when trying is:
An Active Directory domain controller for the domain contoso.com could not be contacted.
Im able to ping both computers by host name and by ip alone ....
I have both fire walls disabled
Inetwork card on vista is configured to DNS 192.168.1.100
I'm at a loss here. The only think I could think of is something is wrong with DNS but if that was the case I wouldn't beable to ping using host name ...which I am...sooo...any help would be appreciated..thanks a head of time.
