I've been researching and struggling to get a wireless connection for days (it's a secured one that I'm paying for as part of my rent). I'm at the point where it says I have both LAN and wireless 'connected', but nothing in the browser- although I have gotten browser connection for minutes (or seconds) at a time...

-using Zonealarm, no windows firewall disabled.

-tried ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew

-tried netsh winsock reset catalog

-have 'Obtain an IP address automatically' and 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' checked.

-tried deleting the adapter in device manager with a reboot for XP to redetect it and reinstall the driver

-Read something about cloning or filtering the MAC address, not sure if I understood but if someone wants to help me I have (browser) access to my router configuration.

Hello,

What system are you using? e.g. laptop or desktop, and which model...

Is your wireless adapter being assigned an IP address by the wireless router?
