a tough question - IP conflict

work place is somewhere else. I work for a small company and i usually deal with the IT stuff. they save money that way. I did get the other computers working using the connection and its been working great for a year now, but only recently we've had a new employee who started and they need to get online too.

You also said that you manualy set ip of 192.168.1.8 to your pc.

That IP is on the wrong subnet. You need to set your IP to 192.168.2 .8

What i would do i would see what IP, subnet,dns and gatweay you're getting on your other pc's and enter same info (manualy) into the pc that its not working (just change last octed of the actual IP of course, increase or decrease)
