Telnet ! My hope

Alright ! i just checked out this thing called telnet >< yeah i just learned about it haha. So now all i need to learn is how can I get someones IP? VIA aim or something. I asked my friend for his IP, he gave it to me, there was a open port and when i typed in telnet

xx.xxx.xxx.x then the port. it just makes my telenet window black and empty.

the reason im doing this is because i need to find out the location and whereabouts of this one person on AIM that keeps sending threats to my friend and she cant block all of his sns fast enough !. So i was just wandering if theres neways i can get his IP via AIM or somewhere else. thanks all !

Yes, if you have a friend that is getting threats, take it to the Police.... you won't be able to do anything.
