In the past week or two, my internet speed has been decimated. I have DSL and its Verizon. My upload speed is the same as it always has been, but my downloads go at a fifth of the speed they used to. Downloads from servers used to go at around 200 kbps, and now they go at 40. Pages which used to load quickly now are loading very slowly.
I also checked my speed at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and it says my internet connection is at:
Download Speed: 350 kbps (43.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 369 kbps (46.1 KB/sec transfer rate).
My download speed used to be around 1.5mbps according to that site.
Page loads are slow, downloads are slow.
All I did out of the ordinary is download a large torrent about 7-8 GBs but that is finished now and the internet is still slow. I was wondering if anyone could help me out and help me solve this problem.
