I live out on the countryside, and all i can get is dial up. I've used my share of different softmodems/winmodems and im sick of there low quality and frequent data pauses. Ive read that these cheap software controlled modems run like this always, and that to get a good quality modem i need to buy a hardware controlled modem, which 99% of these are external modems. I know most of you are on high speed, but do any of you guys know a good hardware controlled v.92 modem that has a relatively low price tag?
