SSID Changes on my internal Wifi card

Hello Friends,

So I enter the SSId into my network settings and whenever I restart my laptop, the SSID on my Wi-Fi card changes the SSID back to "netgear amx marina" and I have to manually enter my SSID again.

I have a Linksys Wi-Fi Router. I have no other software installed that would be changing it or looking for radio signals.

Thoughts?

After you input the name you want do you press "apply"?

Thats probably not it but its the only thing I can think of

Yes, I hit apply. It's when I restart that it changes back.

No, just make sure you apply your settings, are you using the windows way of configuring ur wireless or the software that came with the card. If its windows you need to set up which network it logos onto first in order of priority, i think i know where you have gone wrong.

Just tell me what ur using to config ur wireless win or other... ;-)

Dang, I wish I read this earlier. I sold the laptop to a friend and her installed boingo so he could choose.
