Hi, first post here! I consider myself as having an above average knowledge of tech issues, but I have no clue on this one, and I'm hoping it's possible. I couldn't even think of a proper title for this thread, since I've never heard of this being possible.

I'm a college student, and for some reason Windows Live Messenger does not work on my college's network. So, whenever I'm on campus, I'm not able to use this program. My workaround is to tether my iPhone to my computer, and it's no problem getting on WLM then.

The issue, though, is that I don't want to use tethering for everything else (downloads, regular browsing, etc). I have a 2gb monthly data limit, and I don't want to go over that, which I'd do if I tethered all of the time. Plus, my 3G connection isn't as fast as the campus connection.

So, is there a way that I could tether and have WLM use just that connection, while also having Firefox and any other programs, use the campus connection?

I hope all of that makes sense. :\
