HI anybody out there that can help.
Just had fiber optic connection installed with speeds available upto 100mg and getting great speeds on both my macbook and ipad (between 35 and 50 megs) but really low speeds on PC with windows vista (5-7 megs. Advised by provider to change network adapter on the PC to newer technology as current network adapter only 802g. Successfully installed new Belkin Surf N300 enabling speed up to 150mg, but am still getting low speeds as before. Nothing wrong with connections or routers as everything fine on other devices. Can anybody help me out:annoyed:

Connection quality with the wireless and router could be causing problems. As well as any virus or malware that may be on the machine.

I suggest plugging it in with a cable to do a speedtest to make sure it's not the wireless.

Also try to remember that wifi is half duplex and never perfect speed so even at 5GHz (depending on router) and N300+ your wireless card will probably only still connect up to 72Mb.
