So whats ^ with Cisco's small business routers. They are absolutely horrible. Well, the reviews I read.

Here in the Army, we run all our systems on Cisco products using their OSPF routing protocol, and everything works like a dream.

I guess Cisco just focus's more on big business switching and routing rather then home routers.

Anyone that knows more about the civilian side of Cisco please inform!

Thats exactly what they do. Cisco isnt really meant for small businesses/homes. We only have around 500 nodes at my job and cisco switches just arent worth the cost. We are going full POE hp procurves. Better support, better price, and essentially does everything we need to do.

ATM, no, we have a horrible mishmash of phone systems. Each location has its own phone system, but we are moving to a unified system for all 11 locations.

Good good. Are you going to be using Cisco Unified Call Manager? Or other software?

CME is also good, but hard to use when you have alot of IP devices on it.
