signal not very good !

HI:

I just configured a Linksys Wireless router at my house. ( which is AWESOME !!!! )

I have one laptop with an integrated Intel 2100 Wireless Card.
It works perfect !! everywhere around my house works just fine.

I have another laptop, it has an integrated Intel PRO/WIRELESS 2200BG Wireless Card, it works fine and all but the only thing is that you can put the PC right next to the router and the signal would be "Very good" instead of being excellent. Unlike the other Laptop that the signal is excellent when is really close to the router...

i had problems with getting one of my 2200bg cards to connect to my router. I updated the router firmware and i was then able to connect.

But I just bought the Router...Like a week ago..Should I try that even though is brand new ??

the Card connects just fine to the routers, it just that it doesn't get a strong signal while been really close to the router
