Hello,
We have two desktop computers in our home. One is running WinXP Pro (mine) and the other is running WinXP Home. I have them set up on a network since they are both connected via a ethernet cable to our Linksys router. I set the domain up as MSHOME. Whatever computer im on, I can see both computer names; Downstairs and Brandon. When I am on my computer (brandon) I can go into My Network Places and then click on the downstairs computer and see what folders are being shared. Here's the part that doesnt work. When I am on the downstairs computer trying to going into My Network Places and then click on Brandon, it is asking me for a user name and password. I can type in my password and user name and it will open the workgroup computer. Is there anyway I can take off the password and user name so when people click on it, it wont ask for that? When I click on downstairs computer, it doesnt ask for any authentication and when I try to do mine, it ask's for a user name and password. I think I have the security polices set up so that Everyone and Guest's can access MY computer but its still asking for a password and user name.
Any idea on how to get that taken off???
Thanks!
