#1 - Too expensive
#2 - I don't think he has a network
#3 - Huh?
#4 - Too long

Best way is to use USB cable or Crossover ethernet cables. Or get a router so you could share internet and files.

If you do not intend to use a network after you have transfered the files, then just buy a serial cable, and go into the files and settings transfer wizard.

are all the serial cables the same. i dont plan on making a network. i dont have a hub or any cables right now and i really dont wnat to go out and buy the wrong one and have to go back. i have dsl though the one box. the connectoins i have on my new comps are usb, newtwork, modem ieee 1394 dvi video, video connector

Just get a serial to serial cable. They are very cheap, and no setup is required to transfer files.

I think using the serial is the best way, How big are the files you want to send, you could use a DVD if small enough
