share file across internet occasionally

What software or programs is better to share a file among internet occasionally among friends. Like as big as 50-100MB

I would setup a FTP site either on your computer or your friends. THis way, if there is a big file that youd like to share, you can stick it in a folder that accessable from your FTP site and fire it up and have your frined connect. As for the software, I'd recommend BulletProof FTP for the server and then CuteFTP or IPSwitch's WS-FTP for the client.

i agree what mike says, especially how he listed bulletFTP first. if you are using broadband with a dynamic IP (which is almost always the case) you will need to run IP-updating software and have an IP updating service. goto no-ip.com or dyndns.(org?) and sign yourself up for an account. read their FAQ about how to use the IP updater programs like dynamic_DNS_5
