Hi All -- Help!

I am trying to setup Outlook Express 6 for Wi-Fi. Can get it to work OK on dial up.

Have downloaded instructions on the Accounts setup--that all looks fine.

(Note: it requires an 'i' be inserted in front of the normal server mail addresses, "server authentication, SSL, and uses ports 465 and 995)

But, when I hit Send/Receive it times out. Even though my browser works fine with the Wi-Fi connection, Outlook Express doesn't make the connection.

Any help will be appreciated.

Should be all automatic, make sure you have not click work off line in ur browser, then do this...

start run, then type cmd

then type with the space

ipconfig /release

then

ipconfig /renew

that should solve it. ;-)

Another thing wat email provider are you using, some require you to use there dialup connection and you cant use it with broadband.

Test it with hotmail if you have one, but from my experience i have never had a problem with this.
