Setting up a server

Hello,

I currently have 2 PCs and i am planing to build a server this year some time.

My current set up is a Router+Modem (NB1300 Plus4) with both computers connected to it providing my adsl.

The server im planing to build i want to be a file server and maby also a firewall.

I plan to install Windows Server 2003 but the set up is the hard bit, i dont know much about firewall computers but im guessing it will have to go something like this

Phone socket------->ADSL Modem------>Server/Firewall PC----->Hub----->PC1 and PC2

is this corrent? and to make it a firewall+ server pc what do i do? just put a top line firewall program on it?

That set up will work. As for a firewall, some Linux distributions are made for firewall use. You could try one of those.
