setting up router Netgear RangeMax

Hi,

first I have to say that I'm very unskilled with pcs.

I have laptop with xp,
dsl with BT in UK,
wired modem,
and newly bought wireless router Netgear.

My internet is working perfectly, but when I'm trying to connect through this router (through wire at this time) it asks me some questions:

account name -
domain name -
IP address - static or dynamic?
DNS - default or specific
MAC - default, this computer or other?

It seems like I have tried all the options except the correct one

Does anybody has an experience with the correct settings using BT as ISP.
