Setting up networks for home-offices

Well the steps i always take with a new person is i give them options. I give them the option to choose which freeware apps they want installed. Like AVG, Avast for Anti-Virus and Zone Alarm or Comodo. I make sure they knwo that these things are free on the net and they can do all the research they want after i finish fixing the PC and install anyone on their own time.

That way they can make a educated decision on their own if they want to. I dont pressure them into making a choice while i am there. If they want i will give them my personal advice and i tell them right from the get go that this is my opinion. Not a professional thing. That way they know up front what all their options are and that they have choices. They like that. ;)

It isnt nice to play the advocate at times. But it has to be done. :D

Hey Mak,

So, do you physically install the apps for them? Or just show them how to do it?

And if you do install, is it okay to have them all ready on a flash drive? Or is it more 'legal' to download it from the supplier's website?
