We have a server running Windows 2000 server within a school and have client stations that we were sent with XP OS. Our school is running Windows 2000 so we had to reformat the HD and reinstall the OS with W2000 SP2. We are now having problems with these machines that have been reinstalled in that when we have certain profiles working, another profile's common folders are shown. We are not having this problem with the machines that were sent to us with W2000 already loaded.
This is causing some frustration.
Any assistance would be great.
Thanks
Matt

Make sure both your Servers and your Workstation are on the same service pack. Since you are running SP2, try to update to SP4 (or latest).

Are you guys using roaming profiles?

Also, you might tighten up the permissions on the workstations, this will defintely help to keep each profile assigned to their respective users. (Windows gives each folder the "everyone" permission by default, you might have to change that to the persons user name or a specific group.)

Let us know how things go!
