Secure Wireless

Sorry for the long post, but here it goes.

I am trying to set a secure linksys wireless network.

Currently, I have a dell laptop and a xbox wireless game adapter running on an open linksys network. I also have a desktop connected to one of the four router ports.

How do I enable wep encryption for this network. Also, I can't find any ssid for my open linksys network.

Is there a way I can put all these items on a secure wireless network. If so, how?

I also have a wireless range expander that will not connect. Subject of another post that was never answered.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Easy way to secure now is by mac address. To go wireless and then security i believe then mac addy table, and then allow these computers to connect to it. Make sure there is only 2 computers on if you have to and then save the settings. Take the broadcast of your SIS off too its on the wireless security page also.

Which Linksys wireless router are you using?

If it's the older model BEFW11S4 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005ARK3/103-9107765-1181401?v=glance&n=172282) then maybe I can be of help. Let me know.

If it's model WRT54G (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007KDVI/103-9107765-1181401?v=glance&n=172282), sorry then as I have only installed it once (for my friend) and I can't remember how now whereas the former model I'm still happily using it.
