hi all.
i have a linksys wrt54g and a wusb54g.
wen i installed it they both worked perfectly, even with WEP enabled.

so i got and turn off both computers. i come back, start up the computer directly connected to the router, and it works fine.
however, when i go on to the other computer, it says it is connected to the router with 'excellent' signal, but when i try to surf pages/ go on msn it doesn't work.

btw i am on dsl.

does anyone know the cause to this?

It sounds to me like your computer isn't getting an ip address (if it's set to get one automatically), or the assigned ip address is incorrect.

It could also be something going on with the firewall.

contacted linksys live tech support and told me to remove the bridge. after that it worked fine.

What "bridge" is that? Sounds like something a lot of people are going to run into if you got it right after a fresh install. You might save people a whole bunch of time if you give the details here.

I too had this problem before my current one.....
When you set up an internet connection, all networking components are bridged, open up network connections folder then right click and choose "Remove from Bridge" on each. After you're done, delete the network bridge.
