I've got a couple email accounts and stuff but i rarely check them, i was wondering if its possible to set up my own server that i can use Outlook to monitor? I dont want to play anything, i want to set one up completley for free.

and i have a computer sitting by ready for this just to note

you dont need to set up a server you can just use microsoft outlook to control all your accounts, thats how i have mine set up. i have about 8 email boxes in my outlook.

to do that you'll need the POP addresses
you can usually get that directly from the mailbox provider's website

you dont need pop. it works with any kind of email out there. html, pop, exchange, etc.

ok, but how am i supposed to set it up? is there a guide on doing this? caus ei have VERY little knowledge of Outlook

what kind of email accounts are you trying to set up. like yahoo and msn, etc. are html email accounts while most work emails are IMAP that connect to an exchange server.

i have 2 Yahoo and 1 Gmail that i would like Outlook to check, but i'm not to sure on how to get it to work
