Hi I am wondering if there is any way of finding a computers name using its IP because I have recently had an E:Mail from the company that provide a proxy server for the school I work in saying that one of the computers on our domain has a virus and this has been tracked through the proxy server they have given me the IP of the computer that supposidly has the virus so what i need to do is find the name of that computer relative to its IP so i know where in the school the computer is because the computers are named like room 1 pc5 etc if i cant find its name i will have to go to each computer and check the IP,s till i find the one specified by the proxy provider I have tryed NBTSTAT -A (IP ADDRESS) but dont work i would be greatfull for some help thx
