realtek 8187 wireless adapter trouble

I have the realtek 8187 wireless adapter integrated into the asus m2n32 sli deluxe motherboard, thing is every few hours I disconnect from the network and i eather have to disable then re-enable the adapter or reinstall the driver or it doesn't search for networks it just says "windows can not find any networks" right away. My operating system is windows vista x64 ultimate and there is 2 drivers it seems, one from asus another from realtek.


I also know the problem isn't my router because it happened on my old router also.

I've got the latest driver, plus I'm downloading service pack 1 now, lets hope my connection wont drop before it's done......or that it's resumable.

If you're using a decent browser it should be resumable. Also, whats managing the connection?

I've had the same trouble on my ASUS P5W DH

It usually happens more often to me when I had torrenting app running

I don't know exactly what I did to remedy the problem either

However, I did uninstall my torrent app using revo uninstaller, cleaned my registry using ccleaner and eusing reg cleaner.

after that, I reinstalled my torrenting app and everything ran fine again

I also uninstalled comodo during that time frame

again, I do not know exactly what fixed the problem, just describing software changes during that time frame.
