A quick tech question about ping.

Hey guys I had a "dumb" question about my internet real quick I am currently running Verizon FiOS 20/5 and I'd like to know if I start a download of about 4gb-8gb in size and my download speed is at 2500kbps/s And at the same time Im currently playing counter-strike with a ping of 6-8 (I believe it makes my ping skyrocket) will this effect my ping alot when I start the download?

Easy way to test. Start the download, then pause it and launch CS. Start the CS match and keep an eye on your ping. Once you've got an idea in your head of the average ping length, resume the download. If you suddenly start getting higher ping values, then I'd say it's pretty easy to figure out what's causing it. It shouldn't affect it much at all though I reckon
