I have DSL line for my small company of 8 users. When everyone left the office, I run the test
http://myspeed.visualware.com/speedtest/autotest.html
it shows 392Kbps. Is it right for DSL line?

Now when everyone here at work, they have yahoo messenger, yahoo music, all kinds of Internet music radio going on. Sometime the meter above show me around 31Kbps to 128Kbps. sometime up to 300Kbps.
How can I know what causing it to drop to below 128Kbps?
Is there somekind of report in the network showing that?

Thanks.

It all depends what version you have, each package costs more and with it faster speeds. When you bought it what did they tell you your speeds are to be.? You may want to call your ISP and ask what your speeds are supposed to be. Second IM will zap a lot of your bandwidth as will streaming video and internet access, listening to internet music....etc. If you have Verizon you should see if you can get FIOS. That is DSL over fiber optics, really fast 7meg upload 3meg download and cheaper than cable. If you get that you will be your workers instant hero.

you have 384k SDSL at your work, yup thats about right.

see if they have a 768k package
