Question about meebo

When you chat with msn, the other person can get your ip when you send them a message, through netstat or otherwise.
I wanna know if you chat through meebo, and the other person uses the real msn program, can the other person still get your ip, in a way or another?

Yes. You can get anyones IP thru any IM program with some effort. Even when using online services.

it's all public ip anyways (isp IP). Is that scary?
