Hi,
I was searcing for fast satellite internet and ran into some stuff that I didnt quite understand.
First, what is a DVB?? and why do we need it for internet throuh satellite?
Cant I use a TV Tuner card instead??
I live in the Middle East and was searching for some providers that cover that area.
Most likely Ill get 256kbs that is around 32 kb/s right?? Is that average or most of the time OR SOMETIMES it goes that fast and most of the time its like 10 or 20 kb/s?? ( I was told /8 but dont know if it actually goes that fast or not)
I need some advise here before I buy a DVB (which I was told costs around $200;correct me if Im mistaken) and a dish.
I want to see if it is worth it!
Second, I came to find that this is only 1-way ie only download and I need dial-up for the upload.
Should I be connected all the time through dial-up to actually surf the web or download some files? Is there another way (other than dialup and not 2-way internet because its more expensive!!)
