proxy avoidance

hi all
i am a forum newbie. plz hlp me out in this wifi related issue.
d wifi privided to us in our institute blocks social networking sites, online gaming sites, proxy avoidance sites, torrent downloads, online gaming sites and lots more yet to be discovered. i am thus not able to download ultrasurf for proxy avoidance.
plz tell me a way to escape this and make us of this wifi for more than just cheking mails.
