printing thru vpn

we have 2 network connections in our office.

1. local network connection
2. VPN

i would like to know if there are ways that i could print to the other computer with a vpn connection while i'm in the local network connection? or i need to connect to vpn? what are the configurations?

i can now print thru vpn. but my problem is that why i couldn't see the computer from other department but the pc is also connected to vpn

the pc has two network connections
1. local network
2. cisco vpn adapter
